How these fit together

A government facility audit does not look at one area in isolation. It builds a score across driver records, hours of service, vehicle maintenance and your safety management practices as a whole.

That is why the most useful engagement is usually a full mock audit: all six NSC areas reviewed at once, scored the way the province scores them, so you can see where the real exposure sits rather than guessing.

Single service reviews still make sense when you already know where the problem is. If a roadside inspection flagged your logs, start with a log audit. If your CVIP records are a mess, start with maintenance. The scope call sorts out which one you need.

The COR audit sits apart from the six. It is an occupational health and safety audit, run under a different statute, reviewed by AMTA rather than by Alberta Transportation, and it is what a prime contractor means when it asks whether you are certified. Carriers usually keep the two systems in separate binders looked after by separate people, which is exactly how they end up contradicting each other.
